One collection, one run

Skip the album-by-album download.

Flickr makes every album a separate job. On a free account those downloads are capped at 1024px โ€” and videos are left out of every album download, Pro or not.

Flickr: manual download

Emails, unnamed ZIPs โ€” and no originals

  • Photos capped at 1024px without Flickr Pro
  • Videos excluded from album downloads โ€” even with Pro
  • Request a ZIP and wait for an email for every album
  • Match generic downloads back to your album names
With Adios

All your albums. Original files. One run.

  • Full-resolution original photos and videos โ€” Free or Pro
  • One Flickr export instead of one ZIP per album
  • Restore all album names automatically
  • Stop and continue without starting over
  • Flickr titles, descriptions, tags, dates, places and orientation โ€” optionally in JPEG copies or XMP sidecars
All your Flickr metadata included

Titles, places, dates โ€” right with your photos.

Titles, places and the date behind a photo are part of the memory. Choose exactly how Adios keeps them with your photos.

Write Flickr details into JPEG copies

Add titles, descriptions, tags, dates, places and orientation where your photo app can read them.

XMP sidecars for every file type

The same details can sit beside videos, PNGs and other formats in XMP โ€” ready for Lightroom, Bridge and digiKam.

Use Flickr titles as file names

Choose human names instead of technical export names. The Flickr ID stays in place, so duplicate titles never collide.

Your originals stay untouched

Adios only creates copies when you choose these options. Your downloaded original files always remain exactly as Flickr delivered them.

โ€œThis latest version of Adios worked like a charm and is well worth the money. Of my 30,000+ photos from 20+ years on Flickr, I had only 22 photos/videos (mostly videos) that did not properly transfer. The problem files were clearly identified by Adios (name and album), making it simple to download them one at a time and put them in the right folders. I did the final export step using an external USB drive and it was not inordinately long despite the amount of data that needed to be transferred. I am very pleased with Adios and highly recommend it.โ€

Built from experience

I built the shortcut I wished Flickr had.

I was a Flickr Pro user with 22,310 photos in 113 albums. After downloading just six albums manually โ€” requesting ZIPs, waiting for emails and trying to identify unnamed downloads โ€” I stopped and built a better way.

I've spent many hours refining the process since 2019, so you can bring your Flickr collection home without spending hours sorting it by hand.

How it works

Three steps. However many albums.

Adios uses Flickrโ€™s official account export behind the scenes, then restores the album structure on your computer.

01

Sign in once

Adios opens Flickrโ€™s own login and starts the official account export for you.

02

Let Flickr prepare it

This can take from a few minutes to a few days. Flickr emails you when it is ready, then Adios continues.

03

Choose where your albums go

Review the plan, pick a destination and let Adios rebuild every album as a normal folder.

Privacy by architecture

Your photos stay on your computer.

Your Flickr login stays with Flickr. Downloads go directly from Flickr to a folder you choose, and every album is rebuilt locally on your computer.

The only data sent anywhere other than Flickr is your license key, which Lemon Squeezy (or Gumroad, for older licenses) validates when the app starts.

What it costs, what it saves

Once, instead of every year.

Flickr Pro is a subscription for hosting and Pro features. Adios turns your Flickr archive into folders on your own drive โ€” after that, Flickr is optional.

Keeping your archive on Flickr

An ongoing subscription for Flickr Pro

  • Flickr Pro costs money on a recurring plan โ€” monthly, annually, or every two years
  • Your organized archive remains hosted on Flickr
  • Free accounts have limits on hosted photos
  • Moving elsewhere means rebuilding that organization
With Adios

One payment & your albums are back

  • Paid once at 19 โ‚ฌ โ€” less than three months of Pro
  • Every album becomes a folder of original photos and videos
  • Optional Flickr metadata stays with your files
  • Keep Flickr if you like it โ€” you no longer have to

Flickr already lets Free and Pro users request their original files through its account export. Adios uses that official export and turns it back into an organized local archive.
